I am an astronomer from Austria, but I have lived and worked in Germany for years. I first worked at the University of Jena Observatory and am currently employed by the University of Heidelberg Astronomical Calculation Institute. I research celestial mechanics: the movement of celestial bodies. This includes everything from asteroids colliding with earth to extrasolar planets revolving around other stars. I think astronomy is extremely exciting and fascinating and want to share my fascination with others. That’s why I strive for publicity and write my own blog.
