Emmanuel Delmas – Sommelier from Paris

–> Visit my blog in French.
I have been a sommelier for over 15 years. I had the privilege of working in prestigious French restaurants in Switzerland and in England like Guy Savoy and La Tour d’Argent, then Alain Ducasse at Plaza Athénée in Paris, Lasserre, and more recently Fouquet’s on the Champs-Elysées.
In 2005, I decided to start my wine blog to “make wine accessible to all”.
Now, 5 years later, there are 700 articles online on matching food and wines, service tips, tasting notes and videos about truly talented winemakers in Burgundy, Loire and elsewhere in France, as well as Australia and Germany.
I also write posts on the Wine Fairs in order to properly prepare for them, as well as “rants” and insights into some restaurants and wineries in Paris, or how to choose a wine cellar for an appartment, etc.
When I worked at Fouquet’s and started my blog, I also became a wine consultant and trainer. I have now quit my job in food service in order to develop my training and consulting business. Most importantly, I have shared in the adventure of launching the first TV channel dedicated 100% to WINE called EDONYS. It will go on the air in early 2011 broadcasting in Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and France then later in English-speaking countries.
The blog will continue as always with 3 articles posted each week. This is the price of “Making wine accessible to all”!
