Erwann Gaucher – Cross Media Consulting

–> Visit my blog in French.

I am 33 years old and have ended up in the strange profession of journalism, having been a journalist for 10 years now.

During this time I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the launch of several regional newspapers (which fortunately still exist today), and I remain confident that local journalism is not only the best school, but probably the way of the future in a media world shaken and turned upside down.

For two years I had the pleasure of running the course Regional Weekly Press at the School of Journalism in Lille, before specialising specifically in the web. Viscerally I am still very attached to paper, however I am very excited about the possibilities of the web. A few months ago I started a blog that examines, questions, and analyzes the significant development of a media which will experience further revolutions in the years to come.

Currently my time is divided between Paris and Rennes. I also travel all over France to go to meetings of editors, to understand how they work, help them with their transformation, their choices on the Web and their acquisition of new technologies on the Internet.

I also contribute to Owni and various other projects that should emerge in the coming months… which of course I will tell you about in my blog!
