A writer-journalist born in Durres in 1960, she received her degree in Albanian and English Literature from the University of Tirana. She left her country before the fall of the Berlin Wall, and from 1988 to 2004 she lived and worked in Switzerland. She currently resides in the United States where she works as a journalist and scriptwriter.
