Mille Orienti, by Marco Restelli

–> Visit my blog in Italian

For 25 years I have been travelling throughout Asia covering news stories. As a journalist, I write about foreign affairs, culture, and travelling. I was the assistant editor of monthly magazine GEO (published by Gruner+Jahr/Mondadori) and performance/culture editor-in-chief for weekly magazine Anna (published by Rizzoli).

I currently collaborate with: L’Espresso, Elle, Limes, Io Donna, Tu Style, Qui Touring, Galatea European Magazine (a cultural and political magazine published in the Italian section of Switzerland). In the past, I have also written for: Panorama, L’Europeo, I Viaggi di Repubblica, il Manifesto, l’Indipendente, Storia Illustrata, Gulliver, and Chorus.

Another one of my passions is the internet and its relationship with spirituality in particular: I study the ways that religions and spiritual groups represent themselves on the internet. I wrote a book on the subject in 2001, called “Religioni on line”, which was the first of its kind in Italy.
