My amazighen

–> Visit my blog in Italian.

Hello, I am Paolo and I’m writing to you from Marrakech… I’ve been living here with all its ups and downs for 6 years… Morrocco is a beautiful country for a holiday… for work it is sometimes a challenge! I manage a few Riad (Bed and Breakfast) in the historical Medina of Marrakech. It’s like a wonderful love story living in this land, made up of special and unique moments and other extremely uncomfortable ones… I’ll tell you all about it on these pages, as i try to revive my old blog myamazighen.com which, unfortunately, thanks to my friend (!) Wassil, I lost… so many posts and 10,000 contacts. So many beautiful situations swept away by negligence, hours and nights spent writing and thinking about posting entries on this society so different than our own, at times bizarre, naïve, incoherent, anarchistic but always engaging. Amazighen is a Berber term meaning “Free Man” and they use it to refer to themselves. Nice word, freedom, easier to say than to be! I hope that all those who have followed my blog over these ten months come back and visit me and write to me… it would make me happy and it would give meaning to what I am doing… BESLAMA!

Below is an article in http://www.expatclic.com/, a site bringing together Italian expats, in which my friend Claudia (in Lima) interviewed me to better understand the choice I made to live here… as well as another article on incense.
