A professional journalist since 1987, Alessandro Gilioli has worked for Domenica del Corriere (1986 – 1987), Sette (1987 – 1989), Il Giornale (1989 – 1991), L’Europeo (1991 – 1995), Campus e Class (1995), Gulliver (1995-1999) and HappyWeb (1999-2002). He has been working for L’espresso since 2002.

In 2009, he was one of the supporters of the Carta dei Cento, a charter promoting free Wi-Fi access, and he spoke on stage at No Berlusconi Day.

Thanks to his blog, he won the 2010 Blogger of the Year Award at the 2010 Macchianera Blog Awards.
